PKNE #04 - Part 4 (COMPLETE)

Welcome to next week, where this chronicle of a return is concluded. Also, as we are getting deeper into December, you may as well call this a Christmas Special due to all that snow that's burying the planet. I'll call it that so I can get Christmas out of the way.

Read the last part online in link below, and download the whole thing if you want all those 160 pages on your computer. And hey, they keep making posters out of covers.

Part 4:

PK New Era #04 - Chronicle of a Return

There, that is done. Usual special thanks to the Meripihka person, whom has offered excellent assistance as she always does. Here's to more collaboration in the future.

Well, the Xadhoom goodness doesn't exactly end here in the first month of the winter season, as the official English language for the titular issue with this character has just recently been released in stores in all physical glory. Shit, I need to pick that up.

Don't worry, original double cover variants do exist, you nerds.

I hear the very next PKNE is set to come out in March next year, continuing with the usual artist rotation. Oh hey, Lorenzo's already way into drawing pages.

Ah yeah, the horde's out and the monks are getting wrecked! I will translate the living fuck out of that page one day... And I will see you all when that fateful day comes. Toodle-oo.

PKNE #04 - Part 3

Coming out at a more steady pace, it's the third chapter of this saga.

It's always funny to find little artistic errors in each of these, if you're nerdy enough for it. Don't worry, Claudio, your shit is still beautiful. I'm also looking at the colorist in parts.

Part 3:

Check back in next week for the finale to this space adventure.

PKNE #04 - Part 2

That short break is now over. The story finally continues.

Featuring more of those punny Italian names; more and more of them appliable in the English langauge. I'm sure some of you already have them all figured out. Do point them out if you will, maybe I'll add footnotes about them in the future.

Part 2:

Alright, no bullshit break for next week's issue, so the next part will come out sooner than this one. Unless I, like, croak and never make it available to you people. That would suck.

PKNE #04 - Part 1

And so it has come to this moment. The otherwordly beast is unleashed and free to wreak havoc, as he comes closer to force his abominable will on the helpless people, ushering in a reign of terror that will change everything. But enough about the presidential election!

It's been about a full year since Darkseid Thanos Moldrock did his little cliffhanger at the end of the last PK New Era, foreshadowing great conflicts to come. It is not yet clear if he is going to be involved in this particular story, but it looks like we're bringing in an old favorite who could actually contend with him.

The return of Xadhoom is here, in this story titled "Chronicle of a Return".

Part 1:

Hope you remember the drill. I'll keep posting individual parts up on Imgur as translating progresses, and I'll put everything in one big file for download once it's all done.

You're not getting Part 2 next week, though. Something about celebrating Mickey Mouse in the magazine or something. That little fucker... Yeah, whatever happened to Mystery Magazine, YOU FUCK? Yeah, so just wait a little bit longer...

PS: You'll probably notice that all these Evronian names are puns, whereas most of them only work in Italian, and I won't be bothered to Americanize them.

Blog Post About PK, November 2016

I'm still breathing, and there's more of that PK related stuff coming out, and stuff that already has come out at some point. If not, then I'm probably already very dead with AIDS. I don't even know how I'm writing this.

So last month they released the official translation of the story they like to refer to as "When Blow the Winds of Time?". Apparently they blow all the time. How else would they time travel? Or maybe they are specifically talking about the thing they call a "timenado".

I bought it. I'm a cool guy like that. I'm not giving you a whole review, though.

Well, that's the old becoming new. Let's talk about the actual news. I've clearly mentioned several times how I've been anticipating the next PKNE and how I'm a big sucker for Claudio's art and now it's finally coming out and oh shit damn am I excited.

So, like a week from now. They've also released a dumb little trailer for this thing I can simply translate to "Chronicle of a Return", and we already know all about who's returning, they haven't exactly been trying to keep that a secret.

Expect my shitty translation soon after. And don't expect me to not break that promise.

Duck Avenger Launch

Well, it happened yesterday, and the first issue of Duck Avenger is now available for purchase, in stores and online. I'm still waiting for my copy to get here.

I'm getting that PK Giant variant of the cover.

Having not gotten to read it yet, I can't tell you how faithful of an adaption this is, though I already feel somewhat worried with some changes ordered by the higher-ups for whatever reason. In the meantime, you can look at this short preview, though as said, there's more to look at than to read.

So if you've got some extra cash on the side, why don't you show a little support? Shouldn't be hard to find methods of getting this. That shipping cost, though...

Here, have some fanservice by Claudio. Still waiting for that new PKNE he's involved in.

"PKNA" gets an official English translation under the name "Duck Avenger"

But I guess a lot of you already knew that, huh? And here I was all excited to blow your minds with this piece of news. But in the case that there are some of you that don't know anything, I'm going to make a post about it out of obligation.

So in recent times, it looks like we have really stuck with the name "Duck Avenger".

Also looks like we won't be getting those awesome double spread covers, but at least we're halfway there. You also get some variant options, so I'll be content with that.

Here's some pages you would want to go to to get all the info...

It's a good sign that the translator, Jonathan H. Gray, appears to be really into the project and pushed for it to come into fruition in the first place. I wish him the best of luck into doing the duck justice. I do hope we will also get those short bonus stories... But if anyone has any questions regarding the whole thing, you can go ask him on his Twitter.

Now then... I hope you all realize that I will have to start removing all those old translations as soon as the project gets fully going. And I do hope, as the fans that you are, that you will support this so that it can keep on going. Despite all the physical copies I own, I will totally be buying once it's released. Don't worry, I'm not pointing a gun at your head. I do realize that not everyone is financially stable.

Hopefully the popularity will increase by a high multiplier, and we could potentially have a properly sized fanbase. Here's to the future and all that is to come.
