PKNE #04 - Part 4 (COMPLETE)

Welcome to next week, where this chronicle of a return is concluded. Also, as we are getting deeper into December, you may as well call this a Christmas Special due to all that snow that's burying the planet. I'll call it that so I can get Christmas out of the way.

Read the last part online in link below, and download the whole thing if you want all those 160 pages on your computer. And hey, they keep making posters out of covers.

Part 4:

PK New Era #04 - Chronicle of a Return

There, that is done. Usual special thanks to the Meripihka person, whom has offered excellent assistance as she always does. Here's to more collaboration in the future.

Well, the Xadhoom goodness doesn't exactly end here in the first month of the winter season, as the official English language for the titular issue with this character has just recently been released in stores in all physical glory. Shit, I need to pick that up.

Don't worry, original double cover variants do exist, you nerds.

I hear the very next PKNE is set to come out in March next year, continuing with the usual artist rotation. Oh hey, Lorenzo's already way into drawing pages.

Ah yeah, the horde's out and the monks are getting wrecked! I will translate the living fuck out of that page one day... And I will see you all when that fateful day comes. Toodle-oo.

PKNE #04 - Part 3

Coming out at a more steady pace, it's the third chapter of this saga.

It's always funny to find little artistic errors in each of these, if you're nerdy enough for it. Don't worry, Claudio, your shit is still beautiful. I'm also looking at the colorist in parts.

Part 3:

Check back in next week for the finale to this space adventure.

PKNE #04 - Part 2

That short break is now over. The story finally continues.

Featuring more of those punny Italian names; more and more of them appliable in the English langauge. I'm sure some of you already have them all figured out. Do point them out if you will, maybe I'll add footnotes about them in the future.

Part 2:

Alright, no bullshit break for next week's issue, so the next part will come out sooner than this one. Unless I, like, croak and never make it available to you people. That would suck.

PKNE #04 - Part 1

And so it has come to this moment. The otherwordly beast is unleashed and free to wreak havoc, as he comes closer to force his abominable will on the helpless people, ushering in a reign of terror that will change everything. But enough about the presidential election!

It's been about a full year since Darkseid Thanos Moldrock did his little cliffhanger at the end of the last PK New Era, foreshadowing great conflicts to come. It is not yet clear if he is going to be involved in this particular story, but it looks like we're bringing in an old favorite who could actually contend with him.

The return of Xadhoom is here, in this story titled "Chronicle of a Return".

Part 1:

Hope you remember the drill. I'll keep posting individual parts up on Imgur as translating progresses, and I'll put everything in one big file for download once it's all done.

You're not getting Part 2 next week, though. Something about celebrating Mickey Mouse in the magazine or something. That little fucker... Yeah, whatever happened to Mystery Magazine, YOU FUCK? Yeah, so just wait a little bit longer...

PS: You'll probably notice that all these Evronian names are puns, whereas most of them only work in Italian, and I won't be bothered to Americanize them.

Blog Post About PK, November 2016

I'm still breathing, and there's more of that PK related stuff coming out, and stuff that already has come out at some point. If not, then I'm probably already very dead with AIDS. I don't even know how I'm writing this.

So last month they released the official translation of the story they like to refer to as "When Blow the Winds of Time?". Apparently they blow all the time. How else would they time travel? Or maybe they are specifically talking about the thing they call a "timenado".

I bought it. I'm a cool guy like that. I'm not giving you a whole review, though.

Well, that's the old becoming new. Let's talk about the actual news. I've clearly mentioned several times how I've been anticipating the next PKNE and how I'm a big sucker for Claudio's art and now it's finally coming out and oh shit damn am I excited.

So, like a week from now. They've also released a dumb little trailer for this thing I can simply translate to "Chronicle of a Return", and we already know all about who's returning, they haven't exactly been trying to keep that a secret.

Expect my shitty translation soon after. And don't expect me to not break that promise.

Duck Avenger Launch

Well, it happened yesterday, and the first issue of Duck Avenger is now available for purchase, in stores and online. I'm still waiting for my copy to get here.

I'm getting that PK Giant variant of the cover.

Having not gotten to read it yet, I can't tell you how faithful of an adaption this is, though I already feel somewhat worried with some changes ordered by the higher-ups for whatever reason. In the meantime, you can look at this short preview, though as said, there's more to look at than to read.

So if you've got some extra cash on the side, why don't you show a little support? Shouldn't be hard to find methods of getting this. That shipping cost, though...

Here, have some fanservice by Claudio. Still waiting for that new PKNE he's involved in.

"PKNA" gets an official English translation under the name "Duck Avenger"

But I guess a lot of you already knew that, huh? And here I was all excited to blow your minds with this piece of news. But in the case that there are some of you that don't know anything, I'm going to make a post about it out of obligation.

So in recent times, it looks like we have really stuck with the name "Duck Avenger".

Also looks like we won't be getting those awesome double spread covers, but at least we're halfway there. You also get some variant options, so I'll be content with that.

Here's some pages you would want to go to to get all the info...

It's a good sign that the translator, Jonathan H. Gray, appears to be really into the project and pushed for it to come into fruition in the first place. I wish him the best of luck into doing the duck justice. I do hope we will also get those short bonus stories... But if anyone has any questions regarding the whole thing, you can go ask him on his Twitter.

Now then... I hope you all realize that I will have to start removing all those old translations as soon as the project gets fully going. And I do hope, as the fans that you are, that you will support this so that it can keep on going. Despite all the physical copies I own, I will totally be buying once it's released. Don't worry, I'm not pointing a gun at your head. I do realize that not everyone is financially stable.

Hopefully the popularity will increase by a high multiplier, and we could potentially have a properly sized fanbase. Here's to the future and all that is to come.

PK vs DD - Timecrime

Time to end this celebration of 20 years of the Duck Avenger, many of those years in which the whole series was absent. And we'll celebrate that DoubleDuck comic too while we're at it, which hasn't been around for nearly as long.

Maybe it's a good idea to read up on that DD stuff while you can... there might be some things you won't get while reading this crossover. Now, you might tell me that you don't give a flying fuck, and well, yeah, fair point.

Welcome to "DD vs PK - Timecrime", where it becomes shocking to realize that PKNA and DoubleDuck take place in the same universe, and so the DoubleDuck persona in this timeline is still the Duck Avenger today, and the other Donald he teams up with is the Duck Avenger from the 90s. I thought they said all those references were just references.

PK vs DD - Timecrime

And now I will give my biggest thanks to world champion Meripihka for helping me translating all these stories that have come out lately to celebrate this here 20th anniversary. I write the translations, she sets them on fire and pulls out new translations that are a thousand times more accurate. Good teamwork.

More PKNE will come out in Autumn, so maybe I'll see you guys when that time comes, or I'll see you earlier than that with something else to post, I don't know. By the way, they're bringing back Xadhoom.

PK Tube - Episode 6 (Finale)

But it's not the finale to the 20th anniversary. Stay tuned for the upcoming crossover with the Duck Avenger and DoubleDuck, which will come out in one week in the weekly magazine, and then I'll take a year to translate it. See you all then!

Oh wait. I forgot to actually give you guys this spectacular finale to PK Tube.

Sorry, I realize that's very important and I am very hyped up about it.

PK Tube EP.6 - Forced Rescue

And now that all these stories are out, all these 60 pages worth of duck content, I can now have them come together in one single file that you can view if you have the right program for it, and down below here you can download it if you want all that space on your computer. Move aside some of those gigabytes of porn, you filthy dirty perverts.

PK Tube - Complete Deluxe Anniversary Limited Edition

Now I can go! I'll see you soon after "PK vs DD" comes out and is bashed by critics.

PK Tube Isn't Here Today, So Let's Talk News

Yeah, as I said a week ago, we have to wait an extra week. Phooey. But the newest edition of the Mickey Mouse magazine that features more Donald Duck has brought us some more info on what's in store for the ongoing 20th anniversary celebration.

Here, down below. Double page spread. Do you see what I see?

Yeah, you're gonna wanna open the image in a new tab for best possible look, but...

The Duck Avenger and DoubleDuck in the same panel? Lyla Lay and Kay K having a bit of a scuffle? It seems that I was wrong in thinking that PK Tube would be followed up by the next PK New Era saga... although it may all be in continuity...

I guess I wasn't being a crazy person when talking about a crossover that may or may not have been mentioned at some point since I didn't have the source. But here it's coming, and I'm not insane. Prepare for "PK vs DD - Timecrime". Do you read? You will.

Yeah, okay, that was rough, sorry.

Written by Francesco Arbitani and drawn by Paolo Mottura. That artist has done some pretty good work over the years. Let's see if they will deliver on this thing.

You may also see up there that they are re-releasing the first two PK New Era deluxe editions to celebrate even further. I find this acceptable. I was never able to get a hold of "Might and Power". My wallet's not weeping, I'll grab myself a copy to feel complete.

Huh? What's that? The final short story won't be in the next Topolino magazine? It will instead be in the one that comes afterwards? I have to wait two weeks? What the f--

PK Tube - Episode 4

It's time for the amazing adventures of Angus and Lyla.

And then there's a long-awaited reveal which you will probably not care that much about.

PK Tube EP.4 - Change in Program

Why would the title be anything but something related to the news?

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

PK Tube - Episode 3

Has it been a week already? Well, you know what time it is.

Apparently, it's time for another one of those "Zen and Quantum Physics" short stories.

PK Tube EP.3 - The Weight of Knowledge

Title might be reference to another story. Same time next week, folks! Maybe!

So naturally, here I have the translation all ready to go.

PK Tube - Episode 1

Well, here is PK Tube! What in the fuck is PK Tube?

In case you didn't know, it is the 20th anniversary of the Duck Avenger in this specific comic book universe. It has been 20 years since the very first issue of Paperinik New Adventures was put on the shelves. And for weeks and weeks, there will be celebration.

That is, this week's Topolino and a certain number of following magazines is gonna feature a 10-page story of our beloved universe that is not rebooted. And here is the first one!

PK Tube EP.1

These stories are and will be made by the same team that worked on #0 "Evronians". And as it's classic to see Alessandro Sisti writing something, but I'm surprised to see Alberto Lavoradori drawing again, as he's not done all that much related to this series. And I know I talked shit about his art before, but it actually looks pretty good here and makes me feel nostalgic. Maybe the coloring makes the difference, or it actually is a result of 20 years of improvement. I believe I'll enjoy seeing more.

As for these short stories, we are going to get a total of 6. And if what I hear is true, after PK Tube is finished, we might just be getting the next PK New Era immediatly after.

DoubleDuck - Like a Game

So here is the last DoubleDuck. Unless someone decided to publish a brand new story just as I finish writing up this post. That would not be the first time. Yeah.....

This story, right here, right now, was actually quite touching. I think this is a good temporary note to go out on... and I am of course talking about the image of Kay K dressed as a Japanese school girl. Sniff. So emotional, it warms my heart.

DoubleDuck - Like a Game

But fuck that sentimental shit! If you want something that will really make your feelings go into high gear, then check back here for the next post! What is happening? It's PK Tube! What in the fuck is PK Tube? I don't even know who I am anymore! Buy tickets now!

DoubleDuck - The Last Day

I am back, and I am translating something I haven't touched for over a year. This here's the DoubleDuck story that happened to be released as soon as I was done with the complete current collection of DD.

It was a New Year special released during New Year that was meant to celebrate the coming of the year 2015. Welp, it's never gonna be appropriate to release it at any time afterwards, so here you get the story in the beggining of the spring season. It's still snowing in my country, by the way. Snow is just natural to me.

Tell me if the story you're going to read seems familiar at all. Like, seriously.

DoubleDuck - The Last Day (1-2)

Speaking of two-parters, it's not gonna be too long before we see the next PK New Era. And from what I hear, it's only going to be two parts this time, 90 pages total, maybe. Word is going around on those Facebook pages. There's also a tiny image of Claudio Sciarrone sketching for the new story. Is he being a little sneak and giving previews?

Hopefully that means we'll get the entire thing in one single magazine, Topolino usually does that with their two-parters. That includes today's DoubleDuck. You can consider this translation (and a future one) appetizers for the delicious main course. Will be very appropriate if that DoubleDuck crossover I've heard nothing more about really is true.

Alright, so there's currently one more DoubleDuck out there. I'll be back...
